Heavy Duty Hydraulic Hose Crimper Models and Capacity

This heavy duty hydraulic hose crimper category lists TRC machines intended for larger ferrules and demanding assemblies. Use the product grid and the selection method on this page to compare the available routes.

A crimping tool for high pressure hoses or high pressure hose crimping tool still has to be selected by the approved hose/fitting system, ferrule geometry and target crimp—not by pressure wording alone.

A high pressure hose crimping machine or hydraulic hose pressing machine does not set the finished assembly pressure rating; that rating remains controlled by the approved hose-and-fitting system and its validation data.

heavy duty hydraulic hose crimper

Heavy-duty configuration and acceptance basis

A heavy-duty recommendation is based on ferrule outside diameter before crimping, target finished diameter, maximum opening and travel, fitting envelope, handling method, utilities, control level, changeovers and shift volume. Force provides machine-capacity context; it does not state the pressure rating of the finished hose assembly.

The quotation separates the recorded base machine and standard equipment from optional controls, handling equipment and custom tooling. Opening, die series, power and dimensions are taken from the named product record. A model photograph confirms identity only; tooling drawings, sample-crimp measurements, inspection records and installation requirements are tied to the reviewed machine and workpiece. Rigging, commissioning, training, spares and production schedule are written for the project rather than covered by a generic delivery statement.

heavy duty hydraulic hose crimper FAQ

Questions that affect selection and acceptance

Can I crimp 4-wire (4SH) hose on my crimper, and what dies do I need?

Only if the exact hose, fitting and ferrule system is covered by valid crimp data and the machine opening, force route and die series support the uncrimped and finished dimensions. “4SH” alone is not enough to select a die; send the component series and required finished crimp diameter.

Why is ferrule OD important?

It affects whether the uncrimped assembly can enter the head and whether the machine/tooling can reach the target range.

Can I select from maximum hose inches?

Use that only as an initial filter. Confirm the exact hose/fitting/ferrule system and fitting geometry.

Should large assemblies be pressure tested?

Testing must follow the applicable customer, manufacturer or standard procedure. Do not apply a universal pressure multiplier or hold time to every assembly.

Next step

Submit the largest ferrule and target crimp.

TRC will compare opening, ferrule range, force, tooling and handling requirements for the submitted assembly before recommending a heavy-duty model.
