Separate dirty cutting work from cleaned components. Protect cleaned ends, use the specified projectile/nozzle or other documented method, and define how cleanliness is checked and recorded. The machine is one part of that process.
ISO/TS 18409:2018 specifies fluid-sample collection methods for analysing solid particulate contamination in hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies. It is suitable for statistical validation of a cleaning method, but it does not define the cleaning machine, production method or universal pass class; those remain customer- and process-specific.

Define what must be removed, the required cleanliness endpoint, hose bore and length, permitted media, drying method, end protection and verification method. A cleaning machine cannot compensate for a damaged hose or uncontrolled storage. Questions that affect selection and acceptance
I cannot get braided hose to cut cleanly—what contamination should I address before assembly?
First correct the cutting method so the hose is not crushed, overheated or excessively frayed. Then remove and control rubber, wire and dust left in the bore, protect the cleaned ends and verify the result using the customer’s contamination-control procedure.
Does air blowing alone make a hose clean?
Not automatically. Method, media quality, hose geometry and acceptance criteria matter. Use a defined procedure.
When should cleaning happen?
After contaminating preparation steps and before final protection/assembly as required by the process. Avoid recontaminating cleaned ends.
What information is needed to choose equipment?
Hose ID/length range, construction, contaminants, target cleanliness, volume, utilities and method of verification.
